Alleged N1bn Fraud: Ex-AGF Adoke, Abubakar pleaded not guilty to new charges

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke (SAN), and an Abuja based businessman Aliyu Abubakar  this morning  pleaded not guilty to 14 counts amended charges.

They were re-arraigned this morning  before the Federal High Court Abuja for allegedly laundering the various sum of money in connection with the Malabu oil deal which the former Attorney General of Federation and Minister of Justice  Mohammed Adore had consistently denied involvement.

Trial Court judge, Justice  Inyang Ekwo adjourned trial to August  11,12 and 13 to enable the defendant to prepare a defence in view of the amended charges.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday  filed an additional seven-count charge against Adoke (SAN) and Aliyu Abubakar for allegedly laundering about N1billion.
