The LaCasera Company (TLCC), a member of JOTNA Group of Companies has commenced a competition aimed at recognizing and rewarding frontline workers, i.e. Health workers, Supermarket attendants, Security operatives and others for their sacrifices and efforts amidst the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Specifically, the company said “it is time to recognize frontline workers i.e. Health workers, Supermarket attendants, Security operatives etc who have become our real life heroes by risking their own lives to keep us all alive”.

Recall that the COVID-19 global pandemic has led to over 5.4 million cases of infection around the world with over two million deaths recorded. In Nigeria, as at Monday 25th May 2020, there were no fewer than 7,839 confirmed cases with about 2,263 discharged cases while 226 deaths have been recorded.

Not only that Covid-19 pandemic has led to economic lockdowns with attendant disruptions in the economic, social and religious lives of the people. However frontline workers have continued to play active roles in helping to curtail the further spread of coronavirus, a deadly disease that has caught the entire world unaware.

Poised to recognize the frontline workers, many of whom have fallen victims of the Covid-19 pandemic, LaCasera has designed a recognition process in which “it gives real life heroes their superhero identities.

This Mr. Emmanuel Agu explained was intended “to celebrate their (Superheroes) courage and selflessness” The nomination participation process according to Mr. Emmanuel Agu entails:

Nominate a frontline worker by uploading their picture and stating the impact they have made during the Covid-19 pandemic.
