Court throws Out criminal suit against Alhaji Isiaka Adekunle & Co.

A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State has discharged a property consultant, Alhaji Isiaka Adekunle of allegations of land grabbing and possession and use of dangerous weapons.

Chief Magistrate (Mrs) I.O. Abudu gave the verdict following advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions which states that the suspects had no case to answer.

The court gave the judgment on Friday, 11th December 2020 in Abeokuta.

The travail of Alhaji Adekunle and three others began following a petition to the State Police Headquarters at Eleweeran dated 26th June 2020 by one O.O. Bakere, Esq. on behalf of the Mosaku Family of Kipe Village alleging that the suspects encroached on their land and bulldozed their farmlands, and damaged crops.

But according to Legal Advice from the state Ministry of Justice dated 29th September 2020 and signed by Olusegun Olaotan, Esq the Director, Public Prosecutions on behalf of the Attorney General, the petition against Alhaji Adekunle and others were ill-conceived and baseless.

The advice noted that the land upon which the petition and the charges against the suspects were based was bought from the Sangojimi Family who had gotten judgment over 322 acres of land at Oguntinu Village near Idi-Ori Village off Lagos Abeokuta Expressway.

Consequently, Chief Magistrate (Mrs) Abudu discharged Alhaji Adekunle and other suspects of all the charges brought against them by the police. Meawhile,Chief Isiaka Adekunle popularly known as Alhaji Concord is also a community leader, humanist and philantropist who has been in the real estate industry for over 30 years with a proven records of integrity, vast knowledge and expertise real Estate and building exclusive properties which has helped him gain honor, integrity and strong relationships.
