CBN issues security alert to all staff
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued high-level security alert to its staff at the Abuja headquarters and other branches nationwide.
The circular issued by CBN’s Director of Security Services which states among other things that due to the worsening security situation in the country, staff are advised to be extra conscious and alert at all times both while at work and after work hours.
The circular cautioned staff not to mingle with people they not sure, close and go home at the appropriate time and ensure that they avoid social interaction unless where necessary.
CBN also advised its staff to live private life henceforth and avoid social gathering while instructing branch heads to ensure that all staff leave exactly at closing hour in order for them to get to their homes on time.
