NiMet to open pilot briefing room at Asaba International Airport
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency is to open a modern pilot briefing room at the Asaba International Airport, AIA.
This was disclosed by the DG of NiMet, Prof. Mansur Bako Matazu while playing host to some management staff of Asaba Airport Company who was on a courtesy call to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking, Prof Matazu noted that aviation can open up the economy and create jobs and commended the team for their initiative in managing an airport. Prof. Matazu expressed the desire of NiMet to identify and work with AAC in realizing their noble objective.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Asaba Airport Company, AAC, Christophe Pennick disclosed that Asaba International Airport, AIA, is a new project, that is small in size but big in importance when it comes to showing what concession can be in Nigeria, for airports especially.
Earlier while introducing their team, the Director of AAC, Mr Okechukwu Nelson Moore revealed that Asaba International Airport is the first successfully concessioned airport in Nigeria.
Asaba International Airport is being managed by Asaba Airport Company.
