The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) is to present its annual Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP) to the nation on Tuesday, 15th February 2022
In a statement, the Director General NiMet, Prof Mansur Matazu said the theme of this year is ‘Strengthening Climate Actions Through Timely And Impact – Based Climate Prediction For Economic Recovery
Prof Matazu added that the event which will take place at the NAF Conference Center, Kado, Abuja will have the minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika as the Special Guest of Honour and will commence at 10 am.
Stakeholders from across all sectors of the economy are expected to attend the event as this year’s event promises to be more impactful with some innovations to how the document is presented
Matazu said the purpose is to unveil the socio economic impact that the years climate may have on various sectors and ways to mitigate any adverse effect that may arise
