Airport Immigration Boss, Kemi Nandap Promoted To ACI

The Comptroller, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nandap Kemi Nanna has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller of the Service.

Nandap is among the 24 Comptrollers who got promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller of Immigration following their successful performances in a promotion exercise conducted for senior Officers in December 2021.

This is contained in a letter from the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board vide CDCFIB/NIS/2021/PE/640/VOL.1/1 and dated May 20, 2022.

Nandap who assumed office as the Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Command, Lagos in 2021 replaced CIS Abdullahi Dalhatu, who retired from the service earlier in the year.

Apart from putting a significant stop to the issue of human trafficking through the Lagos International Airport other significant achievements the service recorded within one year of her assumption of office were the interception of a pistol and bullets and the arrest of the US-based Nigerian who brought them into the country.

The Service said the interception and the arrest were made possible through reliable intelligence gathering and surveillance.

Before she was appointed Comptroller at the Lagos International Airport Command, Nandap served as Comptroller in charge of Plateau State Command where she also left indelible marks on infrastructural and human capital development.

She had previously served in many Commands including the service headquarters.

Nandap who came to Lagos Airport Command with a wealth of experience has further positioned the MMA Command and entrenched professionalism and implemented reforms that have moved the Service forward, especially after the commissioning of the new International terminal at the MMA Command, a critical port of entry for migrants into the country.
