Lagos Okada Ban: Security Agencies Embark On Joint Massive Show Across The State

The Lagos State Government led by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration announced the total ban of motorcycles in Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Surulere
Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Apapa local governments and nine LCDAs, effective from June first.

Ahead of June first commencement of the Okada Ban, Security Agencies have embarked on a joint massive show of force across the State.

According to reports the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation also said the state Anti Okada Squad would start the enforcement in line with the commencement of the ban of motorcycle operations within Six Local Governments and nine Local Council Development Areas in the state effective from June first, twenty twenty-two.

The Ministry said the six hundred members of the squad were drawn from the six local governments.

It said one hundred personnel from each Local government would enforce thololp and other security agencies would also join in the enforcement.
