NRC Encourages Nigerians To Make Use Of Over Passes For Their Safety

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has urged both motorists and road users to make use of the over passes for their safety, instead of the illegal level crossings that portrays great risks and danger to their lives and properties.

The Corporation made this known to the newsmen on Wednesday in a statement signed by the Deputy Director Public Relations Yakub Mahmood, while appealing to the media to use their medium to enlighten the public on the safety imperative of using the over pass to cross railway lines.

The corporation says it has the safety of the people in mind when constructing railway lines; hence, it builds over passes at different locations along the railway lines.

Reiterating the Federal Government’s policy on railway modernization, NRC noted that to ensure safety of motorists and trains through construction of over passes in all railway lines constructions.

He, therefore, appealed to motorists not to ignore the overpasses as they are constructed to ensure their safety.
