Aranse Oluwa Centra Mosque in Oniway Agege, has celebrated this year Maolid Nabiyy in grand style.

The annual event, which was held under the leadership of the Chief Imam, Sheikh Fasasi Badmus on Sunday 15th of January 2023, at the mosque auditorium, had notable personalities from various sectors of the economy and in the community in attendance, such as; the CEO of Al-Hatyq Travel and Tours LTD, a subsidiary of Freely Management Limited, Dr Mutiu Badmus, a famous Islamic musician, Alhaja Kifayat Singer Badmus (Eni Ayenfe), and the Group Business Editor, The Daily Times Newspapers, Mr Motolani Oseni.

Others are; Baale of Oniwaya Kingdom, Chief Monsuru Ajiagbe, an aspirant of the House Representative, Honourable Wale Ahmed; Retired Commissioner of Police, Mr Aborishade; A business tycoon, Mr Mojeed Oseni and Mr Seun Osoko; A popular politician, Mr Salami; LASUTH Senior Official, Ismail Oseni, and a Senior Admin Officer at Agege Local Government, Salaam
AbduRasaq , among many others were in attendance.

The occasion started with a special prayer for the past members and Imams of the mosque, while the opening prayer was done by Alfa Abdul Jelil Madamidola, with recitation from the Holy Quran by Alfa Abdul Azeez Abdul Kareem.

The introduction of the special guest and welcoming address was done by the CEO of Triple Brothers Property, Mr Waheed Madamidola, after which students of Morkaz Faosul Kabir performed under the tutulage of Sheikh Ishaq Olomomesan and adorn the occasion with singing and recitation of Hadiths (The words and deeds of Prophet Muhammad) SAW.

In his lecture for the day, the Chief Imam of Agriculture Central Mosque Orile Agege, Alhaji Lukman .S. Alaka, who spoke on Youth and Politics, admonished listeners on how youths of nowadays have left the godly world to focus on the worldly things, while many youths wanted to make it in life without stress and hardworking which, he said it is not possible.

According to him, the future of the country is on the palm of the youth and if we fail to commit ourselves to politics and governance, we will live to regret when others are destroying the country.

He, therefore, encouraged the youths to be ready to lead irrespective of where and stages they found themselves.

“Islam is the only religion that gives rightful definition of governance through the word and deed of our noble prophets, and Muhammad (SAW) was an outstanding leader, father, brother who preaches peace and unity.

“Youths must embrace politics and governance and enhance those who are rightfully selected for a post for a better development of each home, street, State and Nigeria at large”, he said.

Also, speaking at the event, Alfa Harun Jabwas, who collected donation for the renovation of the mosque, prayed for all the donors including, Dr Mutiu Badmus, who donated aluminum windows to the mosque, Mr Mojeed Oseni among many others.

Closing the event with vote of thanks and prayer was the Chief Host and the Chief Imam of the mosque, Fadilat Sheikh Fasasi Badmus.

Sheikh Badmus, also, prayed for this year organising committee under the leadership of Mr Daud Babatude Pelepele, Mr Wasiu Oseni, Alfa Waheed Abass, Bro Abdul Hakeem Abdul Kareem, Bro Nurudeed Abiodun; Mr Shamsondeen and Alh Sulaimon Adangba, who had earlier spoken at the event.
