2023 Election: NRC Suspend Railway Services Nationwide
The Nigerian Railway Corporation(NRC), has suspended train service nationwide from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th February 2023, to enable Nigerians to participate in the forthcoming election on Saturday 25th February 2023.
This was made known in a press release by the Deputy Director Public Relation of NRC, Yakub Mahmood, on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023.
According to the statement, The board and management of NRC wish to inform the general public, especially our esteemed passengers that train services will be suspended between Saturday 25th to Monday 27th February 2023 to enable participation in the forthcoming election on Saturday 25th February 2023.
“In view of the forthcoming presidential general election in the country, the Board and management of Nigerian Railway Corporation(NRC), hereby inform the general public, particularly our valued passengers of the temporary suspension of train services from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th February 2023, to enable Nigerians exercise their civic responsibilities.
These train services include; Abuja – Kaduna Train Service (AKTS), Warri – Itakpe Train Service (WITS), Lagos – Ibadan Train Service (LITS), and Iddo Lagos – Ijoko interstate Mass Transit passengers’ train services.
However, the management assures the general public of the normal train services recommencement on Tuesday 28th February 2023.
