Ibom Air Receives First of 10 Brand New A220-300 Aircraft

Ibom Air has announced the successful delivery of its first Airbus A220-300 ordered.
The Akwa Ibom State-owned airline is receiving the first of ten Airbus aircraft ordered at the 2021 Dubai Airshow.
In a handover ceremony at Airbus’s Mirabel facilities in Canada, former Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel, CEO Mr. Mfon Udom, and COO Mr. George Uriesi attended.
Airbus executives, including President and CEO Benoît Schultz, handed over the Airbus A220-300. He highlighted the aircraft’s global recognition for fuel efficiency, cutting-edge technology, and passenger comfort.
The A220 is adaptable for short and medium-haul commercial operations with a range of up to 7 hours. Furthermore, it positions Ibom Air for expanded service across diverse African destinations.
CEO Mr. Mfon Udom emphasizes the game-changing impact of the Airbus A220-300. According to him, it reinforcing Ibom Air’s commitment to providing world-class services.
He said,  “The introduction of the Airbus A220-300 to our fleet is a game-changing leap forward for Ibom Air.
