NGX All-Share Index Posts Rebound, Gains 0.43%

Recovering from the previous session’s loss, the domestic bourse posted gains as the benchmark index rose by 0.43%  to close at 71,250.17 points. Renewed demand for index heavyweight, BUACEMENT (+4.70%) alongside ZENITHBANK (+0.14%), and GTCO (+0.77%)  contributed to outweigh losses in AIRTELAFRI (-2.06%), FCMB (-1.45%), and OANDO (-0.43%), keeping the market in the green. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 39.02%, while market capitalisation gained ₦165.99bn to close at ₦38.99trn.

Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 56.53%. A total of 433.57m shares valued at ₦11.11bn were exchanged in 7,016 deals. UACN (+4.92%) led the volume chart with 61.71m units traded while AIRTELAFRI (-2.06%) led the value chart in

NSLTECH (+10.00%) topped thirty-eight (38) others on the leader’s table while ABBEYBDS (-9.88%) led fourteen (14) others on the laggard’s log.
