NGX All-Share Index Sustains Bullish Run, Up 0.35%

The Lagos bourse sustained the bullish run as the benchmark index gained 0.35% to close at 99,190.46 points. Sustained interest in TRANSPOWER (+10.00%), alongside renewed interest in GTCO (+0.48%), and ZENITHBANK (+0.14%) were enough to make up for selloffs in MTNN (-1.08%), UBA (-1.12%), and DANGSUGAR (-5.56%), keeping the market in the green. As a result, the year-to-date return rose to 32.65%, while market capitalisation gained ₦193.69tn to close at ₦56.08tn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 59.55%. A total of 398.13m shares valued at ₦31.79bn were exchanged in 10,976 deals. TRANSPOWER (+10.00%) led both the volume and value charts with 87.49m units traded in deals worth ₦25.41bn.
Market breadth closed negative at a 4.63-to-1 ratio with declining issues outnumbering the advancing ones. NASCON (-10.00%) topped thirty-six (34) others on the laggard’s table while TRANSPOWER (+10.00%) led seven (7) others on the leader’s log.
