Governor Sanwo-Olu Extends Remote Work Policy by Three Months

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the extension of flexible working hours of Work-from-Home initiative to state public workers for additional three months.

 

The approval was contained in a circular released by the state Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, on Friday.

 

According to Agoro, the extension of flexible working hours for additional three months takes effect from June 3 to September 3, 2024.

 

Recall that Sanwo-Olu had on February 28. 2024 issued an Executive Order on further measures to assuage the effects of the fuel subsidy removal by Federal Government on public servants.

 

Meanwhile, staff of the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, Teaching Staff in Basic and Secondary Schools, Healthcare workers, Clinical staff, Allied Health Professionals in clinical facilities as well as First Responders in the state and Drivers are exempted from the “Work from Home initiative” on the grounds that there has been rooster, shift or call duty arrangement which would be continued.

 

“Consequently, Accounting Officers are enjoined to ensure that concerned officers achieve their respective Key Index Performance, KPI indicators for effective implementation of government’s policies and programmes inline with the THEMES’ Plus agenda of the present administration.

 

“Accordingly, Accounting Officers are enjoined to note the contents of this circular for compliance.”
