Dangote Cement’s Market Value Plunges by N1trn as NGX Falls 1.36%
Dangote Cement led the losers chart in yesterdays stock market trading with the shares of the building material maker down the maximum 10 percent and a market captalisation fall of N1.007 trillion.
The broad market fell 1.36 percent as bears came out of hbernation.
Last month, Dangote Cement released its Half-Year (H1) earnings result for 2024, showing a below expectations 6.32 percent expansion in profit as devaluation, higher inflation, finance costs and selling, distribution expenses crimped profit for the period.
Dangote Cement shares currently trade at 19.60 times earnings and it has a market capitalisation of N9.066 trillion ($6 billion).
