Coscharis Motors Unveils Armoured INEOS Grenadier 4×4 in Nigeria
Coscharis Motors has launched the INEOS Grenadier 4×4 Armoured Vehicle with BR6 protection into the Nigerian market.
The vehicles are designed to withstand grenade attacks and 7.62 mm calibre bullet fire, offering robust security and durability. As the exclusive franchise dealer for the brand in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors brings this light tactical vehicle to meet the demands of customers seeking high-level protection in challenging environments.
Made by INEOS Automotive, a British manufacturer, the Grenadier 4×4 model commenced production at the end of 2022. The brand is not only visible on global roads; Coscharis Motors, from 2024, commenced its sales in Nigeria and has already sold some units.
As contained in a media statement released by Coscharis Motors, INEOS Automotive, in August 2024, released a model with more modern and advanced safety features.
“Designed to offer both maximum protection and robust performance in various environments,” it explained, “this new armoured Grenadier is available on order in Nigeria through the exclusive franchise owner, Coscharis Motors.”
“Equipped with several layers of ballistic glass and a complete 360° perimeter protection system, the newly modified Grenadier also includes specific armour for the battery, the engine control module (ECM), and the fuel tank.”
The latest armoured Grenadier retains the technical characteristics of the standard model, presently sold by Coscharis Motors; including its robust chassis, protective plates, and off-road adapted suspension.
However, it is now possible to add additional armouring options, such as engine compartment armouring, an engine fire suppression system, protection for the exhaust and radiator, and an emergency exit roof hatch.
Safety features include LED strobe lights, a siren and public address (PA) system, and a night vision camera. These additional elements aim to increase the safety of occupants against potential threats.
INKAS Armoured Vehicles emphasises that these modifications do not compromise the off-road and on-road performance of the vehicle, which maintains its cross-country capabilities and all-wheel drive.
According to Cletus Aregbeshola, Coscharis Motors Marketing Manager for INEOS Grenadier, the Standard Grenadier comes with a 5-year warranty and a 12-year vehicle anti-perforation package.
“A core British brand,” he stated, “the all-new INEOS Grenadier is marketed in Nigeria with dealerships across the country, including Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt.
“These dealerships are equipped with extensive showrooms, parts stores, and aftersales facilities managed by well-trained professionals and expert technicians.”
