NIRSAL Gets New Board Members, CEO

A new Board has been inaugurated for the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Plc. at its 21st Meeting held on Tuesday, 10th September, 2024 following the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of the agency on Friday, 30th August, 2024,
Jude Nnadozie, Head of Corporate Communications in a statement on Wednesday, said the Board stressed the need for the new members to refocus NIRSAL back to its core mandate of de-risking agricultural lending.
The Board members include: Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Central Bank of Nigeria – Chairman; Mallam Ado Wanka, Non-Executive Director; Dr. Daphne Dafinone, Non-Executive Director; Mr. Hamidu Sa’ad, Non-Executive Director;
Dr. Bankole Allibay, Non-Executive Director and Hon. Shehu Balarabe, Non-Executive Director.
Mr. Babajide Arowosafe, a development finance expert, with experience from International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ekiti State Government, and Southwest Agric Company (SWAgCo), was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.
