ANAP Urges Tinubu to Constitute NCAA, NAMA Boards

Following the constitution of Board of Directors of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) by the President, the General Secretary of Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP) Comrade AbdulRasaq Saidu, has called on President Bola Tinubu to also constitute that of other sister agencies in the aviation sector

The agencies, include the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau .

Comrade Saidu, who spoke in an interview with our Correspondent, explained that putting the Board in place with help the management run the day to activities of their agencies especially in the award of contracts, employment and handling staff conditions of service and welfare matters

The ANAP scribe noted that the constitution of Boards was overdue adding that it will help checkmate some unwholesome activities in the systems.

He condmned the inability of the former minister, Hadi Sirika for not innuagurating the Boards that were set up by President Buhari during his tenure for eight years adding, that a lot of illegalities were committed especially on employment, appointments and poor aviation workers condition of service due to non-availability of Governing boards.

ANAP said, knowing fully well and the important of Board in the enabling Act establishing FAAN, President Tinubu appointed Alhaji Gandunje as the chairman of FAAN board and urged the President not to stop there but to appoint boards for the other agencies.

Comrade, Saidu assured that with Board appointments concluded, the day-to-day operations of these agencies will be seamless.
