The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) All-Share Index gained 0.04 per cent to close at 105,593.28 points, adding N26.49 billion to market capitalisation, which settled at N66.21 trillion.

While total trade value surged by 43.98 per cent to N15.08 billion, trading volume declined by 20.70 per cent to 349.33 million units, indicating a shift towards high-value stocks rather than broad market participation.

A 6.49 per cent drop in total trades and a market breadth of 1.38 suggested that gainers outpaced losers, though with reduced overall market activity. ACCESSCORP saw the highest trading volume with 36.60 million units, while GEREGU dominated the value chart with deals worth N8.22 billion.

Meanwhile, the NASD OTC Securities Exchange recorded marginal gains, as the NSI edged up 0.02 per cent to 3,340.1 points, with market capitalisation rising to N1.929.2 trillion. However, market activity declined significantly, with trading volume plunging 98.25 per cent to 16,848 units, and total trade value dropping 85.59 per cent to N3.18 million, reflecting weak investor participation.

SD11PLC was the only gainer on the NASD platform, appreciating by 0.42 per cent to close at N241. Total deals fell 81.82 per cent to just four, underscoring the subdued trading sentiment in the unlisted securities market.
