Nigeria’s inflation rate has surged yet again, hitting 24.23% in March 2025, according to the latest figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the new Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released on Tuesday, April 15, the NBS confirmed a significant jump from 23.18% in February, marking a continued upward trend in the nation’s inflation rate.

The NBS attributed the increase to sustained pressure on consumer prices, particularly in the cost of food, transportation, and housing.
