Access Bank Launches N200m DiamondXtra Promo to Deepen Financial Inclusion

Access Bank has rolled out Season 17 of its DiamondXtra reward scheme, offering over N200 million in cash prizes as it expands efforts to drive financial inclusion and reward customer loyalty nationwide.

At the launch event in Lagos, the bank rewarded 165 customers with prizes ranging from N5,000 to N100,000. The flagship feature of this new season is the return of the highly sought-after ‘Salary for Life’ initiative, where selected winners will receive N200,000 monthly for 15 years, totalling N36 million per beneficiary.

Unit Head, Consumer Banking at Access Bank, Adaeze Umeh, said the return of ‘Salary for Life’ was driven by customer demand. “This year, about 40 per cent of customers voted for ‘Salary for Life,’ and we listened,” she said. “Three winners will be selected each quarter.”

The bank is also introducing digital cluster draws via its Access More app, allowing customers to refer others and qualify in groups. Clusters of 50 eligible participants stand a chance to win N100,000 collectively, with 30 of the planned 150 clusters dedicated exclusively to women, supporting Access Bank’s ‘W’ initiative for female empowerment.

Umeh said customer feedback has remained central to the design of the promo, with previous seasons responding to demands for cars, and now, the reintroduction of monthly income rewards.

Access Bank’s Regional Sales Director, Olukemi Olayinka, noted the programme’s wide-reaching impact, with over 33,000 families benefitting since inception. “Today alone, 165 people were rewarded, including five who won N100,000 each. DiamondXtra is about creating real value for individuals and communities,” she said.

Olayinka added that the scheme now supports small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) with business training, mentoring, and access to collateral-free loans, aligning with the bank’s broader financial inclusion goals.

With more than five million account holders already enrolled, Access Bank aims to onboard one million more customers by the end of 2025, positioning DiamondXtra as one of Nigeria’s most expansive and impactful financial reward programmes.
