Governor Dauda Lawal Bags LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year....

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reiterated his administration’s determination to sustain reforms and fast track development initiatives following his recognition as Governor of the Year by LEADERSHIP Newspaper.

The award was presented on Thursday, February 12, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja during the newspaper’s annual conference and awards ceremony.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the honour was described as a reflection of the governor’s focused leadership and deliberate efforts to reposition Zamfara State.

The annual event recognises individuals whose performance in public and private service has earned national commendation.

The ceremony drew prominent dignitaries, including the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Dr. Amina Mohammed, who delivered the keynote address.

Speaking on the theme, Political Stability and Sustainable Development in Africa in an Increasingly Unstable Global System: A Roadmap for Nigeria, she underscored the importance of political stability and effective governance in achieving long term development goals.

While presenting the award, LEADERSHIP Newspaper commended Governor Lawal’s reform driven approach, noting that his administration has placed Zamfara on a renewed path of peace, infrastructural renewal, improved security, and economic revitalisation.

The organisers described his leadership as bold and transformative.

Governor Lawal expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering measurable progress and restoring public confidence in governance across Zamfara State.

The recognition follows closely on the heels of his recent emergence as Governor of the Year by The Sun Newspaper at a ceremony held in Lagos, reinforcing growing national acknowledgment of his leadership strides.
