The Lagos State Government, LASG,  has completed the rehabilitation of a key nine kilometre stretch of the Lekki–Ajah Road from Chevron to Admiralty on the Lagos bound carriageway, finishing the work in 27 days, well ahead of the initial 41 day projection.

Speaking during an inspection of the project, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola, disclosed that the wider 28 kilometre corridor from Lekki–Ajah Bridge to Admiralty covering both carriageways is being executed in phases.

He added that rehabilitation works on the Epe bound carriageway will commence shortly.

The Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the success of the accelerated delivery was largely due to a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan designed to minimise disruptions and maintain steady vehicular movement throughout the construction period.

Osiyemi commended residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation, assuring that enhanced traffic frameworks, strategic deployment of personnel, and real time monitoring would remain in place as the next phase of the project progresses.
