In commemoration of the International Day of Education, the Temitope Adebayo Children Foundation, owned by Afusat Temitope Adebayo, has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to quality education for vulnerable and underserved children in Nigeria.
Since commencing operations two years ago, the foundation has paid school fees for over 15 out-of-school children, enrolling them in primary and secondary schools across Lagos and Ogun states.
This intervention has helped return many children to the classroom, offering them renewed hope and a pathway to a better future through education.
Beyond basic education support, the TACF has also extended assistance to selected tertiary institutions by donating gas cylinders to support students’ learning environments and ease challenges affecting their education.
This initiative underscores the foundation’s holistic approach to educational development, addressing both access and enabling conditions for effective learning.
The foundation’s activities are driven by a strong belief that education remains a vital tool for social transformation, inclusion, and long-term national development.
By focusing on children from less-privileged backgrounds and supporting learning at different levels, the foundation continues to make meaningful impacts within its host communities.
Speaking on the significance of the International Day of Education, Afusat Temitope Adebayo emphasized the foundation’s mission to ensure that no child is denied education due to financial or social barriers.
“Education is a fundamental right and a powerful instrument for change. Through the TACG, we are committed to giving children and young people the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute positively to society,” she said.
As the world marks the International Day of Education, the Temitope Adebayo Children Foundation remains steadfast in its resolve to support educational access and improve learning outcomes for children and students across the country.
