Governor Dauda Lawal has commissioned and flagged off a series of infrastructure projects in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State as part of efforts to accelerate development across the state.

The projects include the reconstruction and modernization of the Emir of Anka’s Palace, the commencement of work on the Anka Abbare Road, the construction of a new Local Government Secretariat, office complexes for the Hisbah Commission and the Community Protection Guards, and the reconstruction of the Safe School in Anka.

Speaking at the event, Lawal said the projects were delivered in line with commitments made to the people and are aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving governance, and enhancing security and education.

He described the Anka Abbare Road as a vital link that will improve access to communities, stimulate economic activities, and boost local trade.

According to him, the new secretariat will provide a conducive working environment for civil servants and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

The governor also said the Safe School project reflects his administration’s resolve to create a secure and supportive environment for learning, while the upgraded Emir’s Palace highlights the importance of traditional institutions in fostering peace and development.

Lawal disclosed that similar projects have been commissioned in Tsafe, with ongoing and planned developments in Kaura Namoda, Moriki, Bungudu, Bukkuyum, and Zurmi expected to be completed before the end of the year.

He called on residents and community leaders to protect and maintain the newly commissioned facilities to ensure lasting benefits for the people.
