The initiative, delivered in partnership with the World Bank, was held at the school in Orile Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State as part of the Foundation’s ongoing Community Connections Campaign Projects across Nigeria.

Designed to expose young learners to emerging digital opportunities, the training focused on computer literacy, machine learning fundamentals, and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence. Selected representatives from various classes participated in the intensive sessions, with the expectation that they would cascade the knowledge to their peers.

Speaking on the programme’s impact, the Foundation’s Executive Coordinator, Mrs. Foluke Ademokun, described the initiative as a long-term investment in youth empowerment. She explained that the project aligns with efforts to reduce unemployment and close the widening skills gap among Nigerian youths, equipping students with competencies that can enhance their academic performance and future career prospects.

The school’s Vice Principal, Mrs. Sherifat Ajala, expressed appreciation for the intervention, commending the Foundation and its sponsor for providing students with access to high-level digital training and mentorship. She noted that such exposure broadens students’ aspirations and strengthens their readiness for the evolving job market.

Two participating students, Goodluck Innocent and Moses Faith, were recognized for outstanding engagement during the sessions. They conveyed gratitude on behalf of their peers, highlighting how the experience had expanded their understanding of technology and its possibilities.

In line with its tradition in previous outreaches, the Foundation donated a projector, laptop, and projector screen to the school to support continued digital learning.

The outreach adds to a growing list of beneficiary schools, including Community Grammar School, Zion Pepe; Osolu Senior Secondary School; Pobuna Senior Grammar School; Baptist Model College, Ile-Epo; Ijaiye-Ojokoro Senior High School; and Unity Senior College, Alimosho.

With nearly 600 students reached so far, the Foundation continues to expand access to digital knowledge, positioning young Nigerians to compete and thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
