The Association of New Media Practitioners has described the Head of Media and Public Relations at Access Holdings Plc, Olakunle Aderinokun, as a “communication guru” whose strategic direction continues to strengthen the institution’s media engagement and service delivery.

The association made the commendation in a statement marking Aderinokun’s 55th birthday on April 20, noting that his appointment in 2024 came at a critical time for the organisation and has since played a pivotal role in shaping its corporate voice.

According to ASONMP, Aderinokun’s emergence as a key figure within Access Holdings’ communication structure reflects a combination of professional depth, industry experience, and strategic insight.

The Association of New Media Practitioners has highlighted the diverse professional background of Olakunle Aderinokun, noting that his experience across banking, investment analysis, and more than two decades in journalism—including roles at THISDAY and ARISE News—has positioned him as a communications expert with deep insight into the media space. According to the association, this wealth of experience has significantly strengthened the messaging framework, brand identity, and stakeholder relations of Access Holdings Plc.

ASONMP further noted that Aderinokun’s impact extends beyond professional competence, pointing to his leadership style as a key driver of operational efficiency within his team. The association also emphasised the importance of his synergy with the Group Head of Communications, Amaechi Michael Okobi, describing the partnership as instrumental in maintaining consistency in corporate messaging and ensuring alignment in the organisation’s public engagement efforts.
Citing one of the major outcomes of this collaboration, ASONMP referenced the successful placement of a high-profile feature in the Financial Times of London. The publication showcased a corporate centrespread on Access Holdings alongside a full-page advertisement for Access Bank UK, strategically released during the State Visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the United Kingdom in March 2026.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, the association acknowledged Aderinokun’s strong connections within Nigeria’s media community. Having built his career through the newsroom, he is widely respected among journalists and media practitioners for his accessibility, fairness, and professional integrity.
ASONMP also noted his affiliation with key professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from the University of Lagos.

As he marks his 55th birthday, ASONMP described Aderinokun’s career as one defined by consistency, credibility, and measurable impact in corporate communications. The National Association of Online Security News Publishers also joined in celebrating him, commending his contributions and wishing him continued success.
