Globacom launches Berekete plan as Don Jazzy, Teni Makanaki join brand ambassadors team

Telecommunication giant, Globacom, has launched a new pocket-friendly prepaid package, Glo Berekete Plan, which is set to reward customers with 700percent bonus each time they recharge. 

Speaking at the launch of the package at Mike Adenuga Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday, the Regional Manager Lagos, Retail, Mr Abdulrazak Ande said the package is one of the many ways the telecommunication body is trying to add value to its customers.
According to Ande, the package which is open to both new and existing customs will give 400percent of recharge for voice calls, while 300percent will for a data plan. 

While addressing journalists on the package, Ande said: “ As you all know Globacom is the game changer and an innovative pillar in the telecommunication industry. Today, we have invited you to be a living witness to the unveiling of another revolutionary tariff plan that will change the dynamics in the industry. 
“ I am delighted to inform you that we are introducing a new prepaid tariff, called “ Berekete”. As the name implies, abundance, customers should be rest assured of cost amazing voice and data benefit every time they recharge their Glo line with a minimum of N100. 
“ Glo Berekete plan accommodates customer browsing and talking needs from the same recharge and it is open to new and existing prepaid customers. At Globacom, we are continually seeking ways to add value to the lives of our extinct customers. This is one of such ways.”
He assured that Globacom will not relent on its promise, as the telecommunication giant will continue to meet and exceed expectations in diverse ways. 
Ande also unveiled music producer and songwriter, Michael Collins Ajereh, also known as Don Jazzy, and music sensation, Teniola Apata, alias Teni Makanaki, as the new Globacom brand ambassadors. 
He also mentioned that Simisola Kosoko, Odion Ighalo of Manchester United, boxing legend, Anthony Joshua had also joined the list of brand ambassadors. 
“ This has been our abiding creed as a network of stars since we launched over 17 years ago, and we will not relent on this. Please continue to keep faith with us as we strive to build the best network that offers the most affordable and reliable product and services,” he said. 

Making a brief presentation of areas the package covers, Viju Unnithan of the Globacom Marketing Department, said the customers on Berekete plan will get more benefit as they recharge more. 
 Also emphasising that Globacom creates value and enhances the lives of customers, Unnithan said seven different packages had been launched in the year 2020, to meet different demographic needs. 
“ We have ‘My Own Don Beta’, ‘Stay Home Data Plans’, ‘11kobo Plan’ (which is the lowest tariff plan in the market), ‘Mega Data Plans’, ‘School Data Packs’ (for schools), ‘Sponsored Data’ ( for enterprises), and now the Berekete plan for both voice and data,  ” he stated. 

He further explained that the voice bonus can be used to call all network, as Berekete package also gives 100 per cent bonus on data plan purchase for four months. 
.“ When you activate a Glo sim, you also automatically get N600 airtime for free. N400 will be for voice call, while N200 will be for data. It also gives you 100 per cent at a bonus for the data plan. Like you know, Globacom has the best Data plan in the market.  ” he said. 
For existing customers to migrate to the plan, Unnithan said dialling *230# automatically launches into the package. 
Also speaking at the event, the Head GloWorld, Manorath Schukla added that Globacom is constantly improving coverage and better service for customers delight.
