On Wednessday, 19 June was the official opening of Marriott Hotels, the signature of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, today announced its debut in Nigeria with the opening of the highly anticipated Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja. Dignitaries at the commissioning were Group Executive Vice Chairman, SIFAX Group Dr. Taiwo Afolabi and his wife, Mrs. Afolasade Afolabi; Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
Also present at the event were Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; Minister of Information and Culture of Nigeria, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
