BREAKING: UNILAG Sacks Two Lecturers Over Sexual Misconduct

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has dismissed two of its lecturers for alleged sexual misconduct leveled against them by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

The affected lecturers, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo were relieved of their appointments as lecturers of the University for their involvement in the sexual harassment of a student.

The management of the University in a statement dated Wednesday, June 2, 2021, said its governing council after a meeting, considered the reports and findings of the senate committee, approving the dismissal of both lecturers.

Before their dismissal, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo were lecturers at the Department of European Languages and Integrated Studies and the Department of Economics.
