More housing estates will reduce housing deficit, rent cost-Adetokunbo Kayode

The execution of more housing estates will address shortage of accommodation problem in urban areas in the country and reduce high cost of house rent, says President of former Minister of Defence and President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry(ACCI), Prince Adetokunbo Kayode.

The former minister made this known while on an inspection tour of the Medaville Federal Housing project in Akure, Ondo State, describing the project as timely as it would address the shortage of affordable houses for the masses.

Kayode hailed the government for executing the estate project which he noted had provided job for many artisans in Akure.

He, however, urged the government to invest and support estate developers in the country as well as execute more housing estate projects in other parts of the states, adding that the project had provided job for artisans.

Commenting, the Managing Director of Medaville Building and Construction Company, Otunba Akin-Benson, hailed President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola as well as the management of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) for their commitment to solving challenges in the housing sector through the right investment, Otunba Akin-Benson expressed the readiness to consistently sustain their good relationship by executing all federal projects awarded to his company according to specifications.
