Air Peace fostering socio-economic integration, connects Douala

Air Peace, famed for its no-city-left-behind initiative which is driving its route expansion has successfully connected Nigeria with Douala, the capital city of Cameroon.

Speaking during the airline’s inaugural flight to the Douala International Airport Thursday, the Ground Operations Manager, Air Peace, Mr. Ayodeji Adeyemi said, the extension of its wings to Douala is the result of its vision to create affordable and safe air travel for Africans, with their signature hospitality, connecting various cities across Africa, especially the West Coast, thereby fostering socio-economic integration.

“Air Peace is committed to excellence and we’re bringing this excellent service to Cameroonians. The airline has recorded tremendous feats in just seven years and now operates 19 domestic routes, 6 regional routes and two International destinations (United Arab Emirates and South Africa) with a varied fleet of 28 aircraft, including 3 ultramodern Embraer 195-E2 airplanes”.

Mr. Adeyemi stated that, Air Peace entry into Cameroon from Lagos, Nigeria will benefit both countries enormously in the areas of employment creation, promotion of tourism, facilitation of a seamless movement of people and other forms of economic value.

He pledged the airline’s resolve to work with all the stakeholders including the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, the airport administrators and, of course, the governments of both countries to ensure the new route is maximised.

According to him, plans are in top gear for other international routes, such as Houston-USA, Mumbai-India, Guangzhou-China and London.

“We’re constantly reviewing our route network to reflect the needs of the flying public”.
