As part of efforts to further reduce the number of out of school children in Gombe State, Honourable Mustapha Usman Hassan, a member of the State House of Assembly, representing the Gombe South constituency has supported no fewer than 500 orphans.

This became very necessary, due to his understanding of the adversities faced by many of these children without parents.

To this end, Hon Hassan devised a solution to aid these children in the best possible way by organizing an annual primary school enrolment program for these orphanages.

Since he was elected a lawmaker in Gombe, he has been involved in the holistic development of young ones, singlehandedly financing this project with his finances and constituency allowance.

In a repeat of his generosity, again this year, in the 5th edition of his annual enrollment program assisted over 500 Orphans at the Auditorium Hall in Gombe last week Thursday, where they were provided with the much-needed care, love and support to aid their Primary education.

The event witnessed the presence of speaker Gombe, State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abubakar Muhammad Luggerowo was the guest speaker of the occasion.

With his kindness and donation from his allowance, over 500 children were provided with finance for registration, school fees, uniforms, shoe, socks, books, bags and all learning materials at the annual event.
