NANTA To Host Dinner Award In Abuja

National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies(NANTA) under the leadership of the Zonal Vice President Amb. Kayode Adeshola said Abuja zone will host a dinner and award at the Chida event centre in Abuja. 

The Dinner and Award Night which will unveil the WHO-IS-WHO in the Industry who had sustained the industry during this challenging period will be held in Abuja on the 15th of December 2021.

According to the Abuja zone, Vice President expressed that the sudden lockdown and the travel restrictions since the year 2020 came as a rude shock to the industry, having a negative impact on travel businesses, restricting travel clients to visit their chosen destinations.

He stressed, over the years, certified travel agents under the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) have been able to sustain the travel sector despite the challenges faced by the Nigerian Travel and tourism industry as a whole.

“I have great hopes for the future of the travel and tourism industry in Nigeria.”
Adeshola who urged the government to pay attention to the sector said “this is the right time for the government to pay more attention to this sector of the economy that has generated over one million jobs in Nigeria, including employment by hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and other passenger services organization such as the transport sector. 
“It is now a verifiable fact that this industry that has been abandoned for so long is now contributing tremendously to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as of the Nigeria economy as a whole.”

Furthermore, the event is to wine and dine with members of the zone, Industry partners and to appreciate some of our loyal customers who despite the travel restrictions patronize our members.
