Julius Berger To Commission Cashew Processing Factory in Sept. in Diversification Push
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has announced to the market that the official launch ceremony of its new cashew processing plant would be on September 10, 2022.
Julius Berger’s has invested in its first Agro-processing activity, Cashew processing, which shall form the cornerstone of Julius Berger’s diversification activities, and in particular in the Agro-sector.
Julius Berger, on February 14, 2022, had announced to the Market that the pioneer cashew processing plant is located in Epe, Lagos State.
“Julius Berger reiterates that our diversification direction would support the continued success of the Julius Berger Group in the future and align with the strategic objectives of the Government to stimulate value creation in Nigeria,” the firm said in a statement on the NGX.
“We trust that the Market would accept and react favourably to the information given above.”
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc posted record profit in the second quarter of 2022, on the back of acceleration in construction activities, and the proposed capital expenditure spend by the government means a propitious future outlook.
Net income for the construction giant was up 26.31 percent to N6 billion in June 2022 from N4.75 billion as at June 2021.
