Senate Adjourns Security Briefing, Fixes New Date

To accommodate all interested stakeholders in the nation’s security administration, the Senate has postponed questioning of military chiefs on insecurity until February 13.

The senators were supposed to hear from security chiefs in the Senate chamber about the country’s rising level of insecurity.

To expand the briefing, the Senate decided to reschedule the meeting.

The Senate leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, made the motion to adjourn the security briefing by the service chiefs, and Senator Abba Moro, the minority leader, seconded it.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio while approving the adjournment, noted that the Senate would like a holistic deliberation on insecurity.
