Wike Encourages Qatari Investors to Explore Opportunities in Abuja

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has conveyed Abuja’s untapped tourism potential to Qatar.

In a meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, the minister, expressed the FCT administration’s commitment to allocating land for tourism centre development in Abuja.

Wike further highlighted ongoing efforts to complete the Millennium Centre, a key tourist destination in the nation’s capital, underscoring the FCT’s dedication to transforming Abuja’s narrative.

He also pledged collaboration in enhancing security for Abuja residents.

“We want to fully complete the Millennium Centre, which is the main tourist centre in the nation’s capital.

“We are doing our part to change the narrative in Abuja. We are ready to collaborate in terms of security.

“We will make it convenient for all those that resident in Abuja,” stated Wike.

Ambassador Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri affirmed Qatar’s readiness to collaborate in the medical and education sectors.

Recognizing Abuja as the world’s largest capital city, he highlighted opportunities for developmental projects.

The discussions aim to strengthen cooperation between the two nations across various areas of interest.
