Arik Air Receives Bizz Award 2024, Joins WORLDCOB as Platinum Member
Arik Air has been recognized with the Bizz Award 2024 in the Inspirational Company category, highlighting the airline’s dedication to excellence and innovation in the aviation industry.
The award ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa, Singapore, bringing together industry leaders from around the world.
In a statement released to the newsmen, Arik Air announced that, alongside the award, it has been inducted as a platinum member of the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), a prestigious recognition that carries significant privileges and responsibilities.
This honor was bestowed upon Arik Air following a thorough assessment by WORLDCOB’s evaluation committee.
“Arik Air received THE BIZZ 2024 trophy, a symbol of business excellence,” the company stated. “The airline was also awarded the World Business Leader title, acknowledging its leadership in innovation, knowledge, and operational efficiency.”
Arik Air’s CEO, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, and COO, Captain Adetokunbo Adekunbi, were honored for their Excellence in Business Leadership, highlighting their efforts in guiding the airline towards sustained success.
Captain Adekunbi, along with Arik Air’s Head of Corporate Communications, Adebanji Ola, received the awards from Michael Bellido, Vice President of WORLDCOB.
In his acceptance speech, Adekunbi dedicated the award to the entire Arik Air team, commending their dedication and commitment to maintaining high standards. He also thanked the WORLDCOB board of directors for the recognition.
Reflecting on the achievement, Ilegbodu remarked that the award is a testament to the resilience and hard work of the staff in consistently upholding the highest standards of excellence. “We are also deeply grateful to our loyal customers for their continued support over the years,” he added.
WORLDCOB, an international organization based in Houston, Texas, represents over 3,500 businesses across more than 130 countries.
