U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to enforce a travel ban affecting 43 countries, according to an internal memo and sources familiar with the discussions.

The proposed restrictions categorize nations into three tiers: red, orange, and yellow. While the list is yet to receive final approval, it primarily targets countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with major African economies such as Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, and Egypt notably absent.

The “red” tier, consisting of 11 nations—including Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, and North Korea—would face a complete travel ban. The “orange” category, covering 10 countries, including Russia, Myanmar, and Pakistan, would see severe visa restrictions. Meanwhile, 22 nations placed in the “yellow” group have been given a 60-day window to address concerns before facing potential limitations.

The policy is part of a broader immigration crackdown initiated by Trump since the beginning of his second term. While the details remain subject to change, officials suggest the administration is weighing adjustments before finalizing the decision.
