Abia State Governor

Nigerian Breweries Plc has commended Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for the reconstruction of the Industry/Onyeador Road network in Aba, describing the project as a major infrastructure investment that will enhance industrial productivity, improve logistics and stimulate economic activities across one of the state’s foremost manufacturing corridors.

The brewer said the rehabilitation of the strategic road, which provides access to its Aba brewery and several industrial facilities, would ease the movement of goods and services, lower logistics costs and strengthen the competitiveness of businesses operating within the industrial hub.

The commendation followed the official commissioning of the reconstructed road on May 26, 2026, as part of activities marking the third anniversary of the Otti administration.

Speaking on the development, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Thibaut Boidin, said the project underscored the importance of sustained investment in infrastructure as a catalyst for industrial development and economic growth.

According to him, quality infrastructure remains fundamental to improving manufacturing efficiency, facilitating supply chains and creating an enabling environment for businesses.

Boidin noted that the Industry/Onyeador Road serves as a critical gateway to industrial and commercial activities within the Aba axis, making its reconstruction a significant development for manufacturers, businesses, residents and commuters.

“We commend His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, and the Abia State Government for prioritising infrastructure as a key driver of economic growth. For Nigerian Breweries, this road is more than just a transportation corridor. It is a vital link that supports business operations, facilitates the movement of people and goods, and connects enterprises to markets,” he said.

He added that the improved road infrastructure would enhance accessibility, reduce logistics bottlenecks and contribute to increased operational efficiency for businesses within the area.

Boidin also reaffirmed Nigerian Breweries’ commitment to working with governments and other stakeholders to promote sustainable industrial development and economic prosperity in communities where the company operates.

He said the company would continue to support initiatives that foster a conducive business environment capable of attracting investment, creating jobs and driving inclusive economic growth.
