Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported an 18 per cent increase in revenue to ₦184 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, alongside a 20 per cent rise in net profit to ₦26.4 billion.
The company’s unaudited financial results showed that revenue grew from ₦155.4 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025, while gross profit rose by 34 per cent to ₦85.5 billion from ₦63.9 billion.
Gross profit margin improved to 46.4 per cent from 41.2 per cent, while operating profit increased by 27 per cent to ₦38.5 billion. Net profit also rose from ₦21.9 billion in the previous year to ₦26.4 billion.
In recognition of its performance, the company’s board approved an interim dividend of ₦2.00 per ordinary share, amounting to ₦11.5 billion, subject to applicable withholding tax.
The dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on the company’s register of members as of the close of business on October 30, 2026.
Commenting on the results, the Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria Plc, Tobi Adeniyi, said the performance reflected the resilience of the company’s business despite mounting pressure on consumer demand during the third quarter.
He noted that constrained household disposable incomes affected consumer spending, but the company remained focused on delivering value, improving product availability, introducing relevant innovations and maintaining operational discipline.
According to him, these efforts supported revenue growth, a 34 per cent increase in gross profit and a 20 per cent rise in net profit during the review period.
Adeniyi added that the company was strengthening its product portfolio through targeted brand investments, accessible innovations and strategic choices designed to improve consumer preference and sustain profitable growth.
He reaffirmed Unilever Nigeria’s commitment to investing in its brands, operations and workforce, expressing confidence in Nigeria’s long-term economic potential.
He said the company would continue to strengthen performance across its product portfolio while creating lasting value for consumers, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders.
