Yuletide: Air Passengers Assured of Safety, Comfort at GAT

The terminal manager, General Aviation Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Ikeja, Mr Adekunle Aderibigbe has assured Air passengers using the terminal of adequate security, comfort and seamless operations during and after the Yuletide season

Speaking extensively to journalists in his office on the arrangement made by the management of the terminal to ensure a hitch free operation and passengers facilitation, Aderibigbe declared that passengers comfort remained paramount

He explained that the terminal operators have been working round the clock to ensure that there was no lapses in the safety and security arrangement of the management.

The terminal manager revealed that the authority has deployed mobile surveillance to cover Air side while joint security patrol has commenced at the landside

According to Aderibigbe, the recently introduced mystery staff engagement has continued to yeild positive result.

He also hinted that the new departure hall has been opened for passengers usage

While advising passengers to get to the airport two hours before departure, the manager advised them to avoid carrying prohibited items to the airport as it will be confiscated and destroyed

He warned those without business at the airport to desist from coming to the airport as they will be treated as touts

All these According to the manager were introduced for the comfort, safety and security of Air travellers

The manager explained further that cooling machines, conveyor belts and toilets facilities have been given priorities to ensure adequate facilitation of passengers.

Aderibigbe disclosed that there was always traffic congestion around the terminal during festive seasons but said the management was on top of it.
