COVID-19: FAAN halts first national aviation conference
Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus across the globe, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it has the National Aviation Conference earlier scheduled for 1st to 4th April 2020, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja has been suspended.
A statement issued by the general manager Public Affairs, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu said the postponement was due to the need to adhere to safety precautions in the face of the Corona virus presently spreading across nations globally.
The World Health Organization recently declared COVID 19 a global pandemic and advised that as much as possible, individuals and organizations should avoid clustered gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus.
Yakubu said a new date for the conference will be announced as soon as possible.
