My Parents Wanted Me To Be A Teacher - Sola Sobowale

Veteran Nollywood actress, Sola Sobowale has revealed that if she was to be reincarnated, she would come back to this world as an actor again.

The “King of Boys” star revealed this in a recent interview where she touched on her childhood, her career and much more. Sobowale who has been in the industry for over 20 years revealed that initially, her parents wanted her to become a teacher.

Her father was a retired principal and her mother was a retired headmistress and at the time, it made sense that she followed in their footsteps.

Sobowale said that she did not want to become a teacher because the profession was not a well-paying one, so she decided to stay with her elder sister in Ibadan and thus her journey to become an actress began.

The film star then revealed that her father eventually became proud of her when she started to win awards and he used to go and collect some on her behalf.
