All-new Maruti Suzuki Cars That Will Arrive In 2023

The duration between 2020-2021 was a not-so-enthusiastic period for Maruti Suzuki in terms of new product launches. However, the year 2022 brought in a few surprises in the form of the all-new Baleno and Brezza, along with the comeback of Alto K10 and Grand Vitara nameplates in the form of all-new vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki hasn’t stopped yet, as it is planning a slew of product launches in 2023 as well, the details of which are as follows:

The Grand Vitara is not the only SUV which will grace the showroom floors of NEXA in the coming months. Maruti Suzuki is already preparing a premium rugged-looking version of the Baleno hatchback, which has already been spied on test multiple times.

Inspired by the Futuro-e concept showcased by Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2020, the new Baleno Cross is an SUV-inspired version of the Baleno hatchback with raised ground clearance, distinctive front and rear profiles and body cladding all around.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross is said the mark the comeback of the 1.0-litre three-cylinder Boosterjet petrol engine, which lived a short life under the hood of the now-defunct Baleno RS. If it’s not the case, it will get the ubiquitous 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated K15C Dualjet petrol engine from the Grand Vitara.

The next big launch, and perhaps the most awaited launch from Maruti Suzuki for many years now, is the all-new Jimny. While the three-door Suzuki Jimny is available in the overseas markets for quite a long time now, the Indian market is getting a five-door version of the SUV, which will still measure under four metres in length.

The new five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will otherwise have the same boxy and upright design as the three-door Jimny, with neo-retro design highlights like rounded headlamps and a tailgate-mounted spare tyre. The current third-generation Swift has already reached the end of its life cycle, and the all-new fourth-generation model has already been spied on test on the European roads. Compared to the current-gen Swift, the all-new model is said to get larger dimensions, but it will not compromise with the now-iconic silhouette and squatted stance of the car.

The all-new fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift will also get a reworked interior, with many new-gen features like a head-up display, wireless charger and side and curtain airbags. However, under the hood, it is expected to have the same heart in the form of the new-generation 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12C Dualjet 90 PS petrol engine.
