The Lagos State Government has announced that enforcement of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lanes on Eko Bridge and Odo Iyaloro will resume on Monday, October 6, 2025.
The enforcement had been temporarily suspended on July 2, 2025, to ease traffic congestion during repair works on the Ifako/Ogudu Bridge. With the completion of the project, the suspension has now been lifted.
In a statement, the government urged motorists to comply with the directive, stressing that relevant agencies have been directed to strictly monitor and enforce adherence to the dedicated BRT corridors.
According to the state, the move is part of its continuous commitment to improving traffic management, reducing travel time for commuters, and ensuring the efficient use of the BRT infrastructure across Lagos.
